Meet our executive board
Wears baggy hoodies and little round glasses. Deplores bigots. Drinks chai. Protests regularly. Supports NGOs. Eats fire. Soaks daal. Dances. Squats. Is concerned. Refuses to be stereotyped.
Daisha is a second-year Health Science major (conditionally). Former credits include Almost, Maine (Sandrine), Squirrel Girl Goes to College (Squirrel #1/Chorus), and What Rough Beast (Michelle).
Preethi is a Senior Cell and Molecular Biology Major with an intense fear of clean spaces. She’s worked with New Renaissance in the past on Joker’s wild, and had incredible time playing Bianca and Jefferson. She’s worked as an assistant director on Reground’s Portrait of Home, and as the Old Man in If a Tree Falls. She’s pumped for all things zoom.
Madi Vespa Williams
Madi Vespa Williams is a fourth year Theatre major with minors in Communications, Musical Theatre, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Northeastern acting credits include Metamorphoses (in progress) and Urinetown. Madi has worked in varying performance and production roles with Silver Masque, and was a Production Assistant and the Light Board Operator for Boston Midsummer Opera’s production of Cenerentola. She was slated to play Callie and design sound for New Renaissance’s production of Stop Kiss before the pandemic hit. She recently completed a co-op as the Marketing Manager for Moosiko.
Digital Media Coordinator
Jasmine is a first year pharmacy major with a minor in Spanish. This is her second semester on the e-board. While she hasn’t been in any Northeastern plays, she played Marianne in her high school performance of Constellations by Nick Payne. She hopes that in the future she will have the opportunity to act for New Renaissance.
Director of MArketing and Outreach
Jack is a second year Computer Science major with a minor in East Asian studies. He has been involved in theatre both onstage and backstage for many years, and played the role of Tommy in New Renaissance’s What Rough Beast.
Tarik Jones is a senior theatre and interaction design major with a minor in psychology. He started this organization to address the need of diversity in the arts. His last co-op was at the Huntington Theatre Company where he assisted in marketing, video, design, and publicity. His Northeastern acting credits include HAIR, Everyman, and The Three Sisters. Tarik took a hiatus from Boston life last semester to study at the National Theatre Institute. tarikjones.co.
Ames is a fifth-year political science major and theatre major. Their previous credits include Fellowship in Everyman, Hud in HAIR, and directing New Renaissance Theatre Company’s fall production, What Rough Beast. They are also the co-founder of New Renaissance Theatre Company
